We needed to highlight the product USP’s within this campaign, but we also wanted to engage the customer on a more emotive level. The campaign line “EVERY BROW IS A GOOD BROW” was conceived as an empowering message to hang the campaign off, making a statement to the customer that any brow of any shape and size is a good brow. Models were used within the campaign, but a key element to convey the campaign sentiment was the use of real people, showing different brows of all shapes and size in a very relatable way. Q4 is the biggest trading period for many retailers so this campaign needed legs to carry the brand through those peak months. We devised a concept based around discovery and “trying something new” that could cover all the key themes of the period from party-prep to gifting. The art direction of the campaign is intentionally candid with a ‘point and shoot’ style, allowing the LF customer to see themselves in the campaign. Having recently gone through a top-level rebrand by an external agency, Dermstore required a more defined set of guidelines suitable for digital channels. Together with their content teams, we proposed a mobile-first approach to the design with the goal of creating “The must-read, essential guide to beauty on-the-go.” Sitting at the intersection of traditional print-media and editorialised ecom, the mag is a tap-to-shop, easy to digest publication that is produced bi-monthly. LF and THG as a whole had gone through a period of exponential growth and was in rude health, but it was time to position the brand in a way that would support their long-term ambitions.The development of the rebrand was very much a collaborative effort across teams at THG, from brand through to creative teams, UI/UX, production and operations. As well as being an exercise in refining the customer experience and the brand image, it was also an opportunity to refine internal processes and look at how new ones could be implemented in order to facilitate future growth. Extensive development work took place on the creative side resulting in a new, future-proofed brand that looked the part for LF’s digital savvy customers and provided the foundation for future brand
